The Maori people

The photograph which was taken at Winiata near Taihape  was an Informal family photo at a Maori farm.  It was much easier to do it outside the studio and it was the new technology.
The  difference between this photo and the formal family photo on page 9, is the one is formal and the other is informal.
This photograph shows forrest being burnt for cattle to graze. But also shows how farmers milked cows to make money.  On this photograph I can see Cats, two cows and dogs. I can also see the mother and father they are milking the cows. The nationality on the photo are the maori people of the family. The photographer who took this photo is Edward George. The people are collecting the native bush to make butter and milk on the farm, and they would burn the trees and bushes to make space. It shows the burnt trees and bushes on the picture.
